Leeton 100 years: Thanks for the Memories details the town's 100-year history through a series of stunning photos and newspaper clippings.
The book's launch took place during Leeton's Australia Day ceremony and it went on sale at the Roxy Theatre that afternoon.
It was compiled by the Leeton Family and Local History Society and society president Wendy Senti said she was delighted with the initial rush of demand for the book.
"The girls were nearly bowled over when they went to open up the Roxy so people could pick up their books," she said.
The book covers the entirety of Leeton's 100 years of existence in pictures and features some early photographs of North Yanco Station, the Yanco Experimental Farm, the building of Euroley Bridge and the early years of Yanco.
Mrs Senti said the feedback she had received about the book so far had been incredibly positive.
"We've had some very good comments so far and we just hope everybody enjoys it," she said.
"It's a big sigh of relief that it's all turned out as it has.
"I had a few sleepless nights before we received the book."
Leeton - 100 years: Thanks for the Memories is available for sale from The Irrigator office, Leeton library, Leeton Shire Council offices and the Visitors Information Centre for $35 per copy.
