Leeton Public School, St Joseph’s Primary School and Parkview Public School all run transition and information programs in preparation for the next year’s kinder intake.
Children starting kindergarten should be either turning five before July 30 or turning six in 2016.
St Joseph’s Primary
St Joseph's Primary is a Christ-centred learning community where students achieve success through authentic and meaningful learning, and quality teaching.
The school is dedicated to preparing students to live in a changing world, and providing a happy and secure learning environment that encourages and fosters close relationships between parents, teachers and students.
St Joseph’s will hold a 2016 enrolment information day on Tuesday, July 21, starting with a school tour for families considering the school for their child from 10am, including witnessing the kindergarten learning experience first-hand.
At 6pm there will be an information evening, with an opportunity to ask relevant questions.
Leeton Public School
At Leeton Public School, first-year students enter an environment that is warm and nurtures academic progress as well as social, emotional and physical development.
The school provides a well-rounded education, with an excellent reputation in sports participation and results.
Leeton Public offers a comprehensive transition program for those entering kindergarten, with its orientation and buddy programs ensuring children and parents begin at the school with success.
Parent information sessions will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at 2pm and 7pm. The transition program will be held for two hours every Wednesday during school term for 10 weeks, from September 9 to November 25.
School tours are available by appointment with the principal.
Parkview Public School
Parkview Public School enjoys a pleasant rural environment in which it provides relevant, meaningful and enjoyable education for all students.
There are a variety of comprehensive educational programs that cater for students with a wide range of ability levels and provide classroom programs that reflect all aspects of the curriculum.
The school’s acclaimed 16-week kindergarten transition program will start on Wednesday, August 5, with expressions of interest to be included open until Friday, June 27.
A 2016 kindergarten information session will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at 2pm and 7pm.
