“Over the summer break work continued on projects to the value of around $220 million, $178 million in major capital works and $42 million in minor capital works,” Member for Murray Adrian Piccoli said.
“Twenty-two projects have been undertaken at 14 Murray schools while students and staff have been enjoying the summer holidays.
“With schools free of students and staff during the summer break, the holidays provided tradies and contractors the time they needed to make improvements, repairs and upgrade facilities.
“We want our students to have the best possible schools and we remain focused on ensuring improvements across the state continue to be made.”
Some of the works and maintenance included upgrading classrooms, painting, toilet upgrades and grounds improvements.
“The investment in these improvements is part of the $450 million committed by the NSW government to enhance public school infrastructure,” Mr Piccoli said.
