The event has been held annually since the passing of Mrs Paniz, who was the founding president of the Leeton Art Society.
An acquisitive prize has also been established in her honour, with this year’s theme to be Spirit of Leeton.
This year’s event will be held as part of the Leeton SunRice Festival.
Leeton Art Society president Ann Rayment was hopeful of many entries and support throughout the exhibition.
“We definitely find it to be a lot busier when it’s a festival year,” she said.
“I’m excited to see all of the different works that are produced.”
As well as the overall acquisitive prize there are other sections for all ages.
There is the champion exhibit (not limited by theme), young artist (14 to 20 years), people’s choice and encouragement awards.
Entries can also be included in the drawing and pastels, watercolour, mixed media, acrylics and oils categories.
There is a total prize pool of $4000 up for grabs.
Entries close on February 26, with art works due on March 18. The exhibition will be held at the Leeton Multipurpose Community Centre from Good Friday to Easter Monday.
