A centenary event at the Henry Lawson Cottage in Leeton on Sunday to mark 100 years since Lawson lived and worked in the town.
“We had about 70 people there for the official ceremony where we unveiled a new interactive display where people can use their smartphones to scan a code that will send them to a website for information on Henry,” deputy mayor George Weston said.
“What we have to do now is build on the interest and continue to put it out there that we have this tourism spot here.
“Henry’s stay in Leeton is a big part of our town’s history and fabric.
“We hope to continue to promote it to wider areas.”
