An afternoon tea was held on Saturday to thank members, volunteers, donors and supporters of the group.
Chairman Des Driscoll said the group had one of its most successful years to date.
“We purchased two new electric shower chairs, which were $10,000 each,” he said.
“They make it easier for staff to shower patients and move them in to different positions. One is for the acute care ward and the other for Carramar.
“We’ve also finished replacing all of the beds with new ones in the acute care ward.”
Various refurbishments to different rooms have also been completed thanks to the auxiliary.
The organisation relies on donations, but also conducts two street stalls and three raffles during the year.
New members have been welcome to join and can give whatever time they choose. For more information contact Mr Driscoll.
