The Scouts enjoyed a fun weekend of tobogganing, snow hiking and, of course, snowman making and the exchange of many a flying snowball.
The Cabramurra Scout Lodge provides Scouts from across the Riverina with the unique opportunity to experience snow adventures right at its doorstep.
Cabramurra is the highest inhabited town in Australia.
Adrian van Werven from Leeton Scouts said a highlight of the weekend was learning snow survival skills through snow camping and the building of igloos.
“Two adventurous Scouts braved the elements to sleep the night in one of the igloos in sub zero conditions,” he said.
“The camp was yet another opportunity for our Scouts to have fun, 'learn by doing' and experience adventurous activities without all the cotton wool.”
Leeton Scouts regularly participate in excursions and activities within Leeton that provide vital life skills, as well as physical benefits.
