Millar posted rounds of 65 and 66 nett over Saturday and Sunday to finish on 13 under, four shots ahead of Taylor Cooper.
He had been touted, along with James Nitties, to be ahead of the pack by Leeton golf professional Jason Mimmo ahead of the event getting underway.
It was the first time in some years that Millar had competed at the Leeton Pro-Am after scheduling conflicts resulted in him missing the previous tournaments in town.
Prior to that Millar has competed at the Leeton Pro-Am since about 1999.
“The big thing that sets apart the Leeton event is the members and the community,” he said.
“That’s a big part of these events.
“The golf course is in great shape, especially considering the rain in the couple of days out (from the Pro-Am).
“The course suits me and my game.
“There’s a lot of time where you’re 100 to 110 metres from the pin and that’s where I play my best game.”
Mimmo felt the event went well despite the rain in the lead up.
There were about 200 players each day, which is on par with previous years.
A further 100 rounds of golf were also played at the course on Friday prior to the competition getting underway on Saturday.
“We’re just so lucky with the course as it is now … the rain early in the week topped it all off,” Mimmo said.
“People are willing to come here and play.
“It was a great weekend.”
As also predicted by Mimmo, Leeton’s Josh Helson took out the amateur division, with Scott Turner the runner-up.
