Leeton RSL Sub Branch president John Power was made aware of the incident and several members of the Leeton RSL Sub Branch sought to have the signage and flags removed.
“The Cenotaph is a sacred place,” Mr. Power said.
“I would like to make the public aware that nothing can be displayed at or on the Cenotaph without permission.”
Upon notification the flags and signage were promptly removed.
