Saturday's Stableford saw new member Col Mahoney bring home the goods with a 40 nett, one shot ahead of Tony Forrest with 39 in a countback.
B Grade was won by Rod a Ryan, whose 43 points showed that things can come together at times. The runner-up was the sweet swinging Harry Soley with 37 points.
The NTP's went to N Mathieson, Phil Pullen and Craig a Cherry, while the drive and chips went to Jason Nardi and Jack Howe. The ball comp went out to N Mathieson in a countback.
This week's event is the Men's Foursomes.
Wednesday Whackers had 22 starters and was won by Grahme Fitzsimon with 39 points on a count back over Barrie Sangster.
Sangster has been in fine form since returning from the Hickory shaft championships in Carnoustie UK and has had countless top 3 finishes of late.
Fitz celebrated his birthday on Tuesday and will be out to break his age this weekend.
Scotty Turner (inspired by Sergio Garcia’s Masters Win) got 3 of the 4 NTP’s with Fitz grabbing the 13th. The Pro is playing like a busted preverbial at the moment and was lucky to get his 36 points only paying 3 balls.
Good Friday was won by Howlong Visitor Dale Symes who lapped the field with 41 points. Talise Rudd was the runner up in the Medley event with 38 points.
Easter Monday had a solid field of 30 starters and some hot scores were returned with Ronny Broadrick’s 44 the winning score. Rod Tait was the runner up with 43 and Serena Jablonskis had 42. The ball cut off was 38.
Yanco golf
Yanco social golf played a three stick event which was taken out by J.Brown on a countback from P.Frazer.
Nearest to the pin winner were S.Jablonskis on the fourth, A.Skinner on the sixth and thirteenth while D.McVittie took out the fifteenth.
The open drive and chip challenge on the seventh was won by P.Frazer while McVittie picked up the ball competition.
Next week the golfers will face off in an alternate 12 contest.
