The Scottish Debutante Ball will once again be held in town on May 19, with 15 young ladies and their partners all making the final preparations ahead of the glamorous affair.
There have been many nights spent rehearsing the two dances that he debutantes and their partners will undertake.
The first will be the traditional Pride of Erin with the second to be a more modern routine to the popular Ed Sheeran song Galway Girl.
The committee this year is missing one of its key organisers in Tara Bowe, who has moved from town.
“We’ve really missed Tara, but we’ve been lucky to have Sarah Morris come on board to help with the dances,” organiser Anne Lepper said.
“It’s a wonderful bunch this year.
“After being with them for rehearsals and watching them, you can see they are all taking part for the right reasons.
“They have been wonderful and I know they are all really looking forward to the night.”
Debutante balls in some towns have started to become a thing of the past.
However, this isn’t the case in Leeton.
As well as the Scottish ball, there is also the St Joseph’s and Rotary balls held each year.
“I think in small towns like Leeton the tradition remains really strong,” Mrs Lepper said.
“There’s towns like Lockhart, Narrandera, Coolamon and others that all still do it every year.
“Griffith doesn’t anymore, which is a shame.
“This is our 58th Scottish deb ball in Leeton.”
Mrs Lepper made her debut at the event while at school and was pleased young people were still wanting to take part.
“It’s really good to see,” she said.
“I think it’s something many do because they’ve heard stories from their families.”
Doors will open at the Leeton Soldiers Club at 7pm, with the presentation of the debutantes starting at 8pm.
There will be entertainment from highland dancers and the band Mersey Beats.
Tickets are still available from the club for $45 per person, which includes finger food.
