Wit the first week of the school holidays almost done and dusted those that have been attending the initiative have been kept busy each day.
From 10-pin bowling and NAIDOC Week celebrations to games, crafts and more, many would have been going home eager to rest their head.
Co-ordinator Keira McCallum was looking forward to another jam-packed week.
“It’s been really good in this first week of the holidays … we’ve been completely booked out,” she said.
“The kids are loving it, which is great.
“We’ve got another big week of activities coming up as well.”
Out of School Care allows parents to have their children looked after in a safe environment while they are at work with the knowledge they will be kept busy, while still learning at the same time.
The program is an extension of the After School Care initiative that is held during the school term.
