Madison has been selected as a featured tap dancer for this year’s Schools Spectacular event in Sydney.
“I auditioned and went through the whole process, but I didn’t really believe it when I was told I had been chosen,” she said.
“You had to do a video audition first and then it was a live audition … that was pretty scary and nerve-wracking.”
Madison has always had a love of dancing and currently takes lessons under Renee Sloan from Bella Body and Soul.
“Dancing makes me happy, so that’s why I do it,” Madison said.
Madison was one of only two students from the Riverina chosen as a featured dancer.
She will be required to attend rehearsals in the lead up to the November event.
It was also recently announced that many Leeton shire schools have also scored themselves a spot at the event, which last year production broke the Guinness World Record for the largest variety concert in the world.
Gralee School, Leeton Public School, Leeton High School and Parkview Public School were all chosen to participate.
The theme for this year’s Schools Spectacular will be “own the moment” to inspire the participants to discover their potential.
