A TRUCK driver was lucky to escape his burning vehicle near Euroley early on Thursday morning.

The man, who was not injured, was driving a B double when it caught alight at Euroley about 5.10am.
As a result, “stop/slow traffic conditions” were in place on the Sturt Highway near Yanco Weir Road for the salvage of a truck.
Rural Fire Service crews from Yanco, Gillenbah and Euroley all attended, as well as Fire and Rescue from Narrandera.
The blaze, which heavily damaged the cabin and trailer took about an hour to come under control.
Police were also on the scene, but the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
The truck is believed to have been carrying gyprock.
