The young athletes put in stellar efforts at event, which was held in windy and chilly temperatures.
According to the school, all students performed well and displayed exceptional sportsmanship on the day.
During the carnival LPS had many students achieve great results, with several new personal bests set.
The school’s dominance on the day was rewarded, with the school successful in retaining the LNPSSA athletics carnival trophy for the highest overall point score, also bringing home the LNPSSA athletics handicap trophy.
LPS also had three students named as age champions on the day.
They were 11-years girls age champion Emily Baulch, 11-years boys age champion Jonah Allen (equal winner) and junior girls age champion Sari Leighton.
“It was great to see so many family members braving the weather to cheer the children on,” assistant principal Catherine Tabain said.
Twenty-six LPS students qualified to attend the Riverina Athletics Carnival in Albury, which will be held on Friday.
