Everything great about grandparents was celebrated at Yanco Agricultural High School recently when the year 7 class welcomed more than 100 special visitors to the school.

The class had hand-written invitations to their grandparents and/or other significant people to join them in day at the school.

The day started with the students organising name tags for their visitors and then accompanying their guests to the dining room for an official welcome by three of the class members, the principal and the school captains.

This was followed by bus tours of the farm and walking tours of the school and dormitories.

Musical and dance items were also presented in the hall and the senior drum corps presented one of their signature pieces before everyone gathered for a "whole group" photo in front of the McCaughey mansion.
