Library staff had a treat in store for the school students from across the shire during this week as they found clues and went on an adventure to find books that had been “stolen” by a petty thief who left them clues behind.
Children laughed and squealed their way through their sessions before taking a seat and hearing a story or two from the hard-working staff members.
The theme for Book Week this year was “escape to everywhere” and that’s exactly what the students were able to do.
They were also able to learn why reading is so important and the benefits it has to their lives.
Some schools also held character parades if they hadn’t already done so.
