More than 200 people turned out for the occasion at the Mia Club less than one week after the historic first grade victory.
One of the many highlights of the evening was Bradley Boots being inducted as a life member of the club.
Boots’ achievements include:
- Seasons played: 2004 to 2013, 2015, 2017
- Games played: 182
- Number of goals: 122
- Awards of the years: best first year player, runner up best and fairest, best and fairest winner, most consistent, most outstanding local player.
The club said Boots has been a valuable team man both on and off the field.
Football awards
First grade: Best and fairest Toby Conroy, runner-up Bryce O’Garey, most improved Jameson Booth, best first year player Hugh Collins, most determined and best in finals Jayden Lehman, coach’s award Mason Dryburgh.
Reserves: Best and fairest Dillon McGilvray, runners-up Will Dando and Ryan Oldershaw, most consistent Josh Helson, most improved Mackenzie Saddler, best first year player Simon Barnhill, most determined Josh Lanham, coach’s award Kieran O’Callaghan.
Under 17s: Best and fairest Alex Crelley, runner-up Kyle Pete, most consistent Nathan Tang, most improved Tim Sidebottom, best first year player Ossie Herrmann, most determine Mark Salafia, coach’s award Cooper Sharman, Evan Killen encouragement award Connor Morden, guts and gravy award Riley Richards.
Special awards
Clubperson of the year: David Meline, most promising junior Tyh Evans, strappers award Mason Dryburgh, most outstanding local player Tom Meline and Tyh Evans.
In more good news for the club, Jade Hodge has re-signed as first grade coach for another year, with Daniel Muir and Bryce O’Garey to be his assistant coaches.
