Steve Campbell and Muir were unaffected by the early wicket and built a foundation for their side to build on.
When Campbell was bowled by Collins (2/24), the Ferrets had lifted themselves to 2/79 off 14.4 overs to put L&D in the box seat needing 60 runs off 152 deliveries.
Muir kept the scoring ticking over with Hardie playing a supporting role as the pair put on 27 runs for the third wicket before Muir became Collins second victim for the afternoon.
Hardie took the lead with a 20-run partnership with Matthew Axtill got the side to within 13 runs of victory when Hardie was bowled by Rhyan Carter (1/30).
The father-son combination of Adrian and Matt Axtill made the most of their time in the middle and with the side four runs short of victory Adrian was dismissed by Mark Doyle before Matt was able to hit the winning runs giving the Ferrets a five-wicket win with 7.4 overs remaining.
The Ferrets now prepare to take on the Phantoms at Yanco Sportsground next weekend while the Stags have the bye.
