Every year the library’s monthly storytime session in December has a Christmas theme complete with a special visit from Santa Claus.
Stories this week focused on the upcoming big day, with children also enjoying a fun sing-a-long to all of their favourite Christmas tunes.
Santa’s visit was met with excitement from some and nervousness from others, but in the end everyone wanted to get to know old Saint Nick.
This week’s storytime sessions were the final in the monthly series for the year.
The idea behind the initiative is to get children encouraged in reading from a young age, as well as familiarising them and their parents and carers with the library and its services.
