With over 20 teams and three grades all up, this year was one of the largest mixed competition the association has seen in a number of years.
The Y grade grand final was taken out by Class on Grass, who won by forfeit to BMB.
Odd Squad took on Tradies and the Ladies for the Z Grade final.
Odd Squad took the lead early standing at 4-2 at half time.
A quick return in the second half saw Odd Squad bag a number of tries to secure an 8-3 victory.
The X grade grand final had old rivals Drinks and Nibbles and The Bright Sparks go head-to-head in extremely fast-paced game.
Drinks and Nibbles finished off a strong defensive first half with Lize running from dummy and Sarah scoring just before half time.
The Bright Sparks returned to the field leading by a try (3-2), with Tia scoring in the corner within a minute of play. Drinks and Nibbles worked hard to maintain a close gap, scoring off the next tap.
The Bright Sparks responded with Scarry breaking through as dummy and allowing a try.
Back down the other end Drinks and Nibbles were set to score again, but Sparks made an intercept right on the try line.
Drinks were able to fight back and cross the line once again.
At this point The Bright Sparks proved to be the stronger team on the night, maintaining the lead through til end of the game and taking out the title at 8-6.
Both teams are to be commended on their endurance on the night and we look forward to seeing similar pace next year.
