Grace was selected to represent NSW at the event in netball, with the games including a whole variety of sports.
While other Australian states also took part, there were also teams from different countries competing.
It was a tough couple of days of competition, but Grace’s NSW team were able to come away from the event as runners-up after being defeated in the gold medal game by Victoria.
“They were the only team we lost to during the whole competition,” Grace said.
“In the pool games we lost to them by two or three and in the grand final it was maybe 10 goals.
“Everyone was tired after a long week and they just got away from us, but it was still really exciting.
“It was my goal to make this team and represent NSW so it was pretty cool.”
Grace played in the goal keeper position during the games, but she can also be used as a shooter.
It’s been a busy year on the court for her in 2017 having played represented netball with the Leeton District Netball Association, going through the ranks of the school-based competitions, as well as playing for the Leeton-Whitton Crows.

“I can qualify for the under 15s team again, so I hope to be able to make it again,” Grace said.
“It was a really great experience for me.
“I’ve had an insight to what it’s like to be playing at a high level and I want to keep doing it.
“It wasn’t just the netball either. I’ve made a lot of new friends as well. I got on with everyone.”
