The forecast on Thursday according to the Bureau of Meteorology was for 42 degrees for the shire, as well as Narrandera on Saturday.
Should this climb to 43 by 3pm on Friday a decision will need to be made by 6pm as to whether the two A grade matches being played this weekend will be called off.
The Phantoms and L&D CC are battling it out at Yanco Sportsground, with the Ferrets already taking first innings points and having a 35-run lead.

The other match is being played at Narrandera where the Carpheads hold a commanding position over the Leeton Soldiers Club Colts.
Narrandera will be pushing for an outright win over the Colts at Narrandera Park, who are currently sitting at 1/11 in their second innings.
