The match was played in the true spirit of cricket, with both sides pushing hard to get the win.
Leeton won the toss and elected to bat, struggling early on before finding stable ground to eventually put 201 runs on the board at Mark Taylor Oval.
While little was known about Yass prior to the match, the team showed its strength and patience on the pitch to push the Wolves.

As the match neared its conclusion, Yass were in touch and were ever so close to grasping the Cup from Leeton’s hands, but a hot spell from Wolves captain Nathan Carn ensured it stayed in his team’s hands for another week.
The Wolves will now play Wagga this weekend at Mark Taylor Oval.
