THE MIA League basketball competition tips off tomorrow with the Leeton Eagles taking on Narrandera on the indoor court at Narrandera.
Leeton will be looking to defend its men's title from 2011, while the Eagles women's team is aiming to step up and make finals this season.
The MIA League is played out between Leeton, Narrandera and Griffith.
Leeton Indoor Stadium manager and competition co-ordinator Bec McCallum said there would be little change to the format this season after talk last year of including Temora.
"It's still the same three teams," she said.
"They didn't want to travel an hour-and-a-half to Temora and wanted to try and keep it in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area.
"It will be the same format every Saturday, but starting earlier."
McCallum said the co-odinating role will now be alternated between the competing towns after Leeton co-ordinated the first three years of the league.
The teams play each other once home and away, with two bye weekends.
Corey Ryan has again taken charge of the Leeton men's team, with Neil McCallum coaching the women.
Last year Ryan led the Eagles to a dominant 68-52 victory over Griffith in the final.
In the women's competition, Leeton failed to fire and Narrandera played Griffith in the decider. It proved to be the closest game of the competition with an extra time "Hail Mary" three-pointer giving the Knights the title by one point, 56-55.
