Recently the Leeton Community Op Shop held their first Annual General meeting at the Leeton Soldiers Club.
With an enthusiastic members gallery in attendance, all positions were filled except for one board member.
Chairperson Kim Doss spoke from the heart and thanked everyone for their hard work and support since the commencement of the Op Shop began trading.
She made special mention of the late Graham Heffer who was the instigator of the idea to start operations of the business.
She also thanked the Volunteers for their ongoing support.
Kim Doss is once again the Chairperson for a second term and Sandra Dale is now the Vice Chairperson.
Brad Teerman is now the new Treasurer taking over from Sandra Dale, and Tom Thompson is the new Secretary taking over from Sharon Bailey.
Two new faces have come along as board members for the next financial year, they are Bruce Hammond and Brady Smith. They bring along both experience and youth.
The Leeton Community Op Shop will be supporting the Leeton Rice Festival with a float in the street parade.
The upcoming 2018 Op Shop Deb Ball will be held on June 2, which organisers say was such a wonderful success last year.
