The Leeton Chamber of Commerce and Industry will again host the awards in 2018 after missing last year due to a number of factors.
How the voting and nomination process proceeds is up to readers.
The chamber wants to know whether voting should return to a popular vote as has been done in the past, with nomination forms to be printed in The Irrigator.
Residents can also choose the option of self-nomination and judged by members of the NSW Business Chamber, which is the process that has been followed in previous years.
The third idea is to have a mix of the two, which chamber president Matt Gatt was partial to thinking would work the best.
“We haven’t set a date yet, but we’re looking at either June or July,” he said.
“It will be a bit more low-key than before and scale it back to what it used to be.
“At the moment we are looking at having the nomination forms in the paper, so people can nominate a business or a business can nominate themselves.
“We’ve got a few ideas, but nothing is set in stone at the moment, which is why we want people’s feedback.”

At this stage there will still be some awards run through the NSW Business Chamber, which will allow winners to progress on to the different levels of the competition.
There will also be purely “local” awards, with Mr Gatt hopeful this would allow all businesses to be on a more level playing field.
