L&D: Players from Coleambally, Griffith, Leeton Soldiers Club and Leeton and District competed in the District Triples Championships last Tuesday. Only two teams from L&D played in the first round, the rest drawing byes. J Bourke's team progressed to the second round after defeating E Errey 21/13. In the second round L Mullins defeated D Semmler 20/14, J Bell defeated J Bourke 22/11 all from L&D. Both the Griffith teams went home winning after knocking out Coleambally 16/13 and LSC 20/12.

Griffith and Leeton & District will now compete for a place in the finals on Tuesday, March 20.
In social bowls the drawn winners were E Sullivan, M Odewahn and K Marks while J Bourke won the lucky door and D Semmler won the 50 Club. raffle.
This week the Leeton & District Club will be the host club for the Towning Shield. Players from all around the region will be competing starting with an evening game today and followed with a morning game on Wednesday.
LSC: DUE to other commitments, the LSC ladies did not play bowls last Wednesday.
The club would like to wish contestants in the Towning Shield good luck for this week's games.
Names are now being posted on the board for the club championships.
