Steven Jeffress took out the professional division, as well as scoring 62 on Saturday – an equal best score for the Leeton course.
Thanks to the score he was able to have some space between himself and the other professionals on Sunday, which was played in blustering conditions.
“It was good for me because I had a bit of room up my sleeve, which I needed in the end really,” Jeffress said. “I love coming to Leeton. It’s a great course.”
It’s the second time Jeffress has taken out the Leeton Pro-Am. He plans to continue competing in similar events over the coming weeks before spending the remainder of 2018 on the Asian circuit.
The amateur division was taken out by Josh Helson just ahead of Graeme Dale.
Leeton professional Jason Mimmo said the course played well.
“The scores definitely show you just how much harder Sunday was thanks to those really windy conditions we had … it was a lot different compared to Saturday,” he said.
“Everyone thought the course played well though. It was a good weekend.”
Jeffress was also on hand on Monday afternoon to help with a junior golf clinic in Leeton.
