Both the boys and girls sides were crowned the Leeton-Narrandera PSSA touch football champions following a recent carnival.
Leeton Public School students took on competed against others from Parkview Public School, Narrandera Public School and Leeton shire small schools.
Top play from both teams
Both the Leeton Public School boys and girls teams played Narrandera in the first round and won, which took them straight to the finals.
The boys won their game against Narrandera convincingly, with all students playing outstanding, showing fantastic sportsmanship and working hard to support each other.
They worked hard to improve on their attack throughout the game, driving the ball up the field.
The girls won a tighter game against Narrandera by three points, in a great game to watch that had fantastic sportsmanship.
The girls played really well as a team and worked on their defence throughout the game.
Championship matches
In the final, the boys were again convincing winners against Parkview, in another outstanding and quickly paced game.
The boys raised the bar by improving on their defence for this game and it really paid off.
They displayed a high level of touch football with agility and speed.
The girls final was a closer affair, with the Leeton Public School students winning a tightly-contested game against Parkview.
It was an outstanding final to watch and Parkview were a great team for LPS to play against.
Leeton Public School were able to come away with a win through determination and speed. The final tries to decide the game were marvellous.
Taine Pauls, Jye Thompson, Jack Allen, Jonah Allen, Cayden Hillier, Emily Baulch, Noumea Kember and Libby Olrick were all selected in the Leeton-Narrandera PSSA Representative teams.
Those representative teams will be back in action throughout term two.
