Group 20 league tag, round five results

THE Greens were unable to secure back-to-back victories in their league tag match against Waratah Tigers last weekend.

Following their first victory of the season the weekend before, Leeton were hoping to take home the points against the Tigers on Sunday.

Junette Mitchell was the sole try scorer for the Greens on the day, as Waratah Tigers cruised to a 24-4 victory.

This weekend Leeton will return home to No. 1 Oval where they will face Tullibigeal Lakes United in round six of the competition.

The match should likely play out evenly, with TLU having one just the one game, like the Greens.

However, Leeton should be able to use their home-ground advantage to get the points before heading back on the road again the weekend after.

For Yanco-Wamoon, the Hawkettes will be back on deck after enjoying last weekend off thanks to the club bye.

They will head to Griffith on Sunday where they will take on the Black and Whites.

Yanco-Wamoon have lost just the one game so far this season, while the Panthers have won four and drawn another of their games.

The hit out will be a tough test for the Hawkettes, who have shown they are the big improvers of season 2018.

Their match will be held at EW Moore Oval.
