Ms Sayer-Roberts has been has been elected as the new national deputy president of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA).
Her appointment to the public relations industry’s peak body shows location is no barrier to success.
Ms Sayer-Roberts joins Sylvia Bell, who was elected national president on the PRIA board of directors by members recently.
In accepting the roles, both women praised their predecessors.

“We are excited to be leading the PRIA board and picking up the baton … (we are) looking forward to further increasing support and engagement for our profession,” Ms Sayer-Roberts said.
“It is a true joy of mine to work in our industry and to now have the opportunity to play a role in shaping its future is a privilege.”

The PRIA provides professional support, education, networking and recognition to over 4000 practitioners and 100 consultancies across Australia.
In addition to her new role as deputy president of the PRIA board of directors, Ms Sayer-Roberts is also the NSW government nominee on the Sydney School of Entrepreneurship board of directors, a role which she is enjoying.
