In a low scoring first half, it was a try to Jarrad Kelly which saw the Mallee Men head into the break with a 4-2 lead after Clinton Green got the Leeton side on the board with a penalty goal right on halftime.
The Mallee Men were the first side to make an impact in the second half as they built a 12-2 lead thanks to tries from Cameron Miller and Sam Kerry.
With just 14 minutes remaining in the game, Leeton started their comeback as Isaac Stowers found his way across the line before Adam Twigg score to bring the sides level just four minutes later.
With Green’s successful conversion of the Twigg try, the Leeton side took the two-point victory.
The Greens will now prepare for another long trip this time out west to take on Hay.
