Both infants and primary school students participated in the hands on learning program – World of Maths.
The circuit program had them heading from station to station solving a variety of problems.
St Joseph’s targeted maths teacher Sue Flagg said there were several purposes behind the day.
“It’s all problem-solving, they are working together to discover the answers,” she said.
“We want maths to be hands on and engaging, but also fun and challenging.”
St Joseph’s has been working to improve numeracy at the school for some.
