This weekend signals the start of round two of the Group 20 competition, with the Greens to travel to Lake Cargelligo and Yanco-Wamoon will return home to face the Griffith Black and Whites.
Greens need to respond
FOLLOWING last weekend’s derby loss to the Hawks, the Greens will be wanting to get back to their winning ways with another victory over the Sharks.
Leeton played Tullibigeal Lakes United at No. 1 Oval just over a month ago.
In that game there came away with a 40-24 win it what was a much-needed result for the Greens at that time.
Since that match, their season was given a kick start and revival.

The following week they defeated West Wyalong at Ron Crowe Oval 14-12 before recording a 62-14 demolition of the Hay Magpies.
The long weekend break and the defeat at the hands of their rivals then put an end to their winning streak.
However, the Greens will travel to Lake Cargelligo with the knowledge they have outsmarted them once before this season.
While they may have the upper hand from their first meeting, Leeton will be wary heading into the match, with TLU still sitting pretty on top of the first grade ladder with just that one loss to their name.
Hawks want to keep momentum
YANCO-WAMOON will go into Sunday’s match full of confidence after taking out last weekend’s derby over the Greens.
They now have the Griffith Black and Whites on their radar and will need to secure the points once again if they are going to secure a spot in the top five this season.
Last weekend the Hawks were able to rise to the occasion when it mattered and that philosophy is something they will need to carry with them into the remaining games of the regular season.
Currently sitting in seventh, the Hawks aren’t too far out of the top five, with the three teams above them – including the Panthers – all sitting on 10 points apiece.
The home ground advantage will benefit them on Sunday.
