Each of the four teams have spent months not only working hard at training, but also travelling throughout the region to participate in carnivals, which has all led them to the big stage in Sydney.
Every year Leeton has a strong contingent participating in the State Age carnival, which sees teams from across NSW taking part across different age groups and divisions.
Each of the Leeton sides are looking forward to testing themselves against these teams in their respective divisions across three days of play on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Under 12s

Manager: Felicity Halden
THE under 12s have participated in five carnivals this year, facing tough competition at all.
They have improved and combined well as a team showing determination and an eagerness to work hard during training.
The girls are excited to be participating in their first State Age Championships and have been placed in division three due to the success of our under 12s team last year.
We have a versatile team which will give us the ability to use many different combinations.
The girls understand it will be a very tough and mentally draining three days. but they will give it their best, absorb the atmosphere, but most importantly have fun.

Under 15s
Coach: Nicole Matthews
Manager: Alison McKellar
THE under 15s probably haven’t had the best preparation for this season.
The team only managed to participate in three carnivals due to other sporting commitments and carnival dates not working in their favour.
In 2018, the under 15s are playing in division two and are also struggling with injuries ahead of the weekend.
However, coach Nicole Matthews said the girls are tough and have a strong bond within their team.
Regardless of these setbacks she is sure they will band together and do the best they can at the championships.
Their goal is to aim for a top 10 finishing position on the ladder.
