THERE was a short turnaround for the Leeton-Whitton Crows when they took to the court several days early to play Narrandera last week.
Due to many of the sides being short on numbers with players being away at the State Age carnival, most of the Crows’ matches were brought forward to Thursday night.
Played at the Leeton Indoor Stadium against Narrandera, Leeton-Whitton’s A grade side were hoping to show their coaches more improvement.
They were able to almost hit the 50-goal mark on the night, but the Eagles proved more consistent, with the Crows going down 71-48.
This weekend they will return to Leeton Showground to play another local derby against the Griffith Swans, who defeated them 61-34 in their last match up.
