YANCO-WAMOON secured another solid win on the weekend, while the Greens battled hard against one of the top teams.
The Hawks played a rare Saturday match against Waratah Tigers and were able to come away with a 26-0 victory.
Their five unanswered tries were too much for the Waratahs, who were unable to get on the board.
Captain Monique Higgins again led from the front, scoring two tries and converting another two.
The ever-reliable Tess Staines chipped in with two of her own, as well as a field goal.
Bree Coelli was the other try scorer for the Hawks.
This weekend they will play West Wyalong at home at Yanco Sportsground on Sunday.
The Greens took to No. 1 Oval on Sunday, but went down 34-4 to the Griffith Black and Whites, who are currently second on the ladder.
Leeton fought gallantly all day against the fast-paced Panthers, with Anna Poulsen the sole try scorer.
This weekend they will have a chance to redeem themselves when they take on Darlington Point-Coleambally, who are yet to win a match this season.
The Greens will be hoping to secure a win and cement their top five position.
