THE countdown is on to this weekend’s much anticipated Penguins Football Reunion.
With celebrations kicking off tonight and then continuing throughout the weekend, a solid amount of past players and their families are expected to attend.
During the weekend, the coach of the victorious 1968-69-70 Yanco Australian Football Club, Ian Williams, will unveil his “team of the three-peat” on Friday night as part of the event.
Supporters and past players will start the weekend with a meet and greet barbecue at the Yanco All-Servicemen’s Club on Friday evening and will continue the reunion at the Leeton-Whitton Crows derby with the Griffith Swans on Saturday afternoon followed by a dinner at the Leeton Soldiers Club that night.
The reunion will also be an opportunity for the 1967 reserve grade premiership team to celebrate their victory.
There has been plenty of excitement in the lead up to the event.
