United will take on South Wagga in an evening match on Saturday at Rawlings Park and will hope to take the win under lights.
Leeton have won just the one night match this season, but Fondacaro was confident the team will get the job done.
Fondacaro remains out injured with ligament and tendon damage to his ankle, but hopes to be right for the finals.
“I’ve been going to physio every week, it’s just not where I want it to be at the moment,” he said.
Following last weekend’s general bye, the captain was hopeful the side would come out firing on Saturday night.
“I don’t think the week off should matter too much,” Fondacaro said.
“The boys had a pretty big training session on Tuesday fitness-wise, which I guess was to make up for not playing on the weekend.
“We’re looking really good. It’s all starting to come together for us.”
Leeton United’s last loss was in round eight when they went down 2-0 to Henwood Park.
Since then they have successfully accounted for Tumut, Tolland and Junee before a draw in their last match in round 12 against Wagga United.
United are sitting in fourth on the competition ladder, but nipping at their heels one point behind is Young in fifth and Cootamundra are just two points away in sixth.

The weekend’s trek to Wagga is one of several over the coming weekends, with Leeton not scheduled to return to their home turf until August 12.
Fondacaro said with how close the competition was looking, United couldn’t afford to take the ninth-placed South Wagga lightly.
While South Wagga have won just the one match this season, Fondacaro said they could still be dangerous.
“It just comes down to effort really for us,” he said.
“If the boys put that effort in and give it everything, we’ll be right.”
Leeton’s forward line consisting of Adam Raso, Eric Listmann and Antony Trifogli is proving to be a game-changer late in the season.
The trio are gelling well, but the wider team is also starting to hit their stride at the right time.
