D grade boys
A tightly contested D Grade Boys Grand Final has seen Area Pre-Mix emerge with a 23-16 victory over Irrigation Specialists. Leading by just 2 points at half time, the winners went on a 10-0 run early in the third and despite Irrigation Specialists narrowing the gap, they ran out of time going down by 7 points. Ethan McDonald drained 16 points for the winners while Xavier Chilko hit 8 points for the vanquished.
C grade girls
Kurrajong Shell have won a thrilling C Grade Girls Grand Final by just one point to secure the Autumn title. A lay up from Zoe De Paoli (6 points) with 3 seconds remaining on the clock was enough for Shell to take the title 12-11 over the hard working Leeton Hire who were led by Amelia Irvin who scored 7 points.
C grade boys
Leeton Tyrepower have produced a comprehensive performance to defeat a determined Leeton Home Improvements in the C Grade Boys Grand Final. Cody McCallum led the way for the winners with a breakout 17 point performance and Tallis McMillan added 13 points while Nate Fletcher tipped in 16 points for the defeated team.
B grade girls
The B Grade Girls Grand Final was an actioned packed affair with Purple coming from 13 point down to win a thrilling season decider over Warbah by one point. With scores tied with 0.42 seconds on the clock, Madeline Irvin (11 points) drained a decisive free throw to give Purple the win 27-26. For the luckless Warbah, Tamika Rourke was outstanding scoring 18 points.
B grade boys
A last quarter comeback from Lanham’s Jewellers has fallen short as the Reds secured a deserved B Grade Boys Title 29-25. Led by Will Handsaker (23 points) the Reds established a 10 point three quarter time lead before that was but to as few as 3 in the final stanza as Lanham’s, led by Nate Doyle (10 points) mounted what proved to be an unsuccessful comeback.
A grade girls
The A Grade Girls decider was a thriller with a buzzer beater from Jenna Pengelly with just 3 seconds on the clock rimming out, leaving Leeton Toyota with a heart stopping 37-35 victory. Giordan Pastro was immense for the winners with a Grand Final MVP winning performance of 33 points while Ruby Henley (18 points) and Emily Clyne (16 points) were standouts for the unlucky Anytime Fitness.
A grade boys
An absolute thriller, ended by a buzzer beating steal and lay-up from Grand Final MVP Angus Morschel (33 points), has seen the Eagles see off a determined Sunrice outfit to win 47-46. Sunrice led for long periods of the match thanks in part to the efforts of season MVP Jack Gilbert who tipped in 29 points, but it was the Eagles who used the ball better down the stretch to take the title by the narrowest possible margin.
