World Breastfeeding Week has been running from August 1 to 7 and the Leeton branch of the Australian Breastfeeding Association is getting together to celebrate.
Members and their bubs will be meeting at Wednesday’s special Bob the Builder storytime event at 10.30am and then enjoying a morning tea together to celebrate the week.
The group meets monthly, usually at the library, and helps to promote breastfeeding among mothers in the shire.
The international theme for the week is “Breastfeeding: Foundation of Life” and features breastfeeding as the universal solution that improves the health, wellbeing and survival of women and children.
The Leeton branch also has various training opportunities available.
More information can be found on their Facebook page.
