Now heading into its fourth year, the evening is all about food and fun, with a hint of competition thrown into the mix.
As has become custom a huge feast will be prepared, with a salami competition also part of the evening’s festivities, which will be held on September 15.
Committee member Dom Amato said there was no way people would leave the evening hungry.
“On the menu again we have the delicious goat, which has become a real favourite, two pigs on the spit, pasta, wine, antipasto platters on each table, tiramisu and numerous other Italian dishes guaranteed to be a good feed,” he said.

“The aim of the night is to keep a tradition going basically.
“We’re also a fundraising group, but I think the main priority is to keep an Italian tradition going, but it’s not only embraced by Italians anymore, but the whole community which is great.
“Not only Italians have been making salami in recent years, but people of all nationalities in Leeton.”
A band will also entertain on the night, which is guaranteed to get residents up dancing, but one of the other main points of interest will be the salami competition.
Those wanting to take part will need to submit their entry by 3pm on the day of the event at Madonna Place for judging.
“We’ve been drawing about roughly 40 entries per year and we’re hoping for a few more (in 2018),” Mr Amato said. “There’s seven judges. They judge on a point score basis.
“It all gets totalled up and the winner gets $200 for first place, second prize s $100 and $50 third prize. There’s also an individual trophy for each one.”
It’s a case of first in best dressed for those wanting to attend, with Madonna Place only able to hold a certain amount of guests.
Tickets will be available from August 23 at Modern Vintage Decore in Pine Avenue at a cost of $60 per person, $20 for five to 12-year-olds and under five free.
