In their path on Sunday afternoon at Yanco Sportsground will be Darlington Point-Coleambally, a team who are out to spoil the party.
The Roosters will finish their season in eighth position, but in recent weeks have been testing sides as they look to put a bit of a dampener on the opposition teams.
“That’s certainly what they will be coming over here to do,” Hawks coach Nick Puntoriero said.
“They aren’t coming over here wanting to lose.

“They want to win just as much as we do.
“For them it’s about taking down teams before they head into finals, but for us we want to finish the regular season with a win and on a good note.”
Yanco-Wamoon are currently fourth on the Group 20 first grade ladder, which isn’t expected to change following this weekend’s last round of the home and away season.
The last time the Hawks and the Roosters went head-to-head was way back at the beginning of the season in round one.
That clash ended in a 24-all draw, but since then the Hawks have only improved.
They enjoyed a purple patch of consistent play during the middle of the season.
Last weekend they went down to Tullibigeal Lakes United in a match Puntoriero said was steep learning curve for his team.
“The last few weeks we’ve been starting too slow,” he said.
“That’s what happened against TLU and probably the reason we lost.
“The first 20 minutes of our game is what we need to work on.
“We need to be getting away to a good start.”
With the finals approaching, Puntoriero said there were many other areas of Yanco-Wamoon’s game that still required work.
“Definitely our ball control and completing our sets,” he said.
“We’ve been giving too much ball to the opposition lately.
“Our discipline needs some work too.
“In finals the refs are always on top of everything, so we need to be more disciplined and not give away silly penalities.”
With the Roosters out to finish their year on a high, Yanco-Wamoon will need to put all their coaches words into practice.
The full team for the match against DPC is yet to be decided.
“I couldn’t really tell you … it’s not going to be final until training on Friday night,” Puntoriero said.
“We’ve got a few bumps and bruises. There’s a few blokes who are probably only a 50/50 chance of playing.”
