Schools throughout Leeton shire have been holding kindergarten transition programs for many years, with Parkview Public one of those reaping the benefits of the concept.
Parkview Public recently commenced its 2019 kindergarten transition initiative, with more than 40 youngsters turning out to take part on day one.

The children engaged in a range of early years learning framework activities, experienced new routines and became familiar with new friends and the learning environment.
Parkview Public kindergarten teacher Lacey Chilko was pleased with how the first day of transition went.
"The children were all eager to learn and excited to explore their new environment,” she said.
“Our transition program is a very important part of the learning process and it was great to see so many children and their parents present to share the first day."
The initiative continues on Wednesdays for the remainder of the school year and includes a free bus service to support children getting to school.
Parents wishing to register their children should contact the school's administration office.
