The event is on again in 2018 with all of the favourite activities set to take place, as well as some new thrills thrown into the mix.
One of the those is the inaugural furphy festival, which will include competitions and even the chance to win one to take home for yourself.
Event publicity officer Carl Chirgwin said the organising committee had listened to feedback and made changes in some areas to improve the experience for all.
“Everything is shaping up well,” he said.
“The furphy festival is a new addition as part of everything else we have happening.
“I think the thing about this event that keeps bringing people back is that there is something for all age groups.

“It’s also an event where we add more to what we’ve got happening each and we try to enhance the activities we already have.”
Among the other activities happening throughout the weekend is market stalls, ring events, sheaf toss, up to 26 working Clydesdale in harness, demonstrations, delicious food, entertainment and a camp oven dinner under the stars, which needs to be booked prior to the event.
Mr Chirgwin encouraged residents to head on out to Barellan and support the event.
“The best part for me is always watching the crowd mingle … you can take your time looking at everything and experiencing everything,” he said.
