Thank you to the P&C for their organisation of this annual event which is a massive task in itself and to the volunteers and staff who manned stalls, ran activities or fed the hungry hoards.
The day concluded with the always entertaining Leeton Idol, celebrating the talent and courage of our student performers. A great day for all.
Shine – Once Upon a Time
SHINE 2018 was a spectacular achievement and showcased the enormous depth of talent we have across our local public schools.
Thank you to all the students, parents/carers and teachers for their hard work and commitment to the production ensuring that this great event goes from strength to strength and to our director Troy Mott for his interest and attendance.
Audience numbers were pleasing and we thank you for your support.
Double gold jackets
TWO year 12 students were recognised last week for their contributions and achievements as as Leeton High School students and as active and productive members of our community.
Congratulations to Kody Collins and Thomas Bullivant for successfully reaching the pinnacle of our reward system through their consistent, positive actions over the course of their years here at school.
Prefect elections
LAST Friday during our formal assembly, year 11 students delivered their speeches outlining why they should be elected as a prefect representing Leeton High School for the 2018/2019 school year.
All 12 candidates were very impressive and convincingly spoke of the leadership qualities they possess and their contributions to our school, leaving the audience with some very difficult decisions to make.
I am very pleased and proud to announce our prefects elect for 2018/2019 (in no particular order):
Caleb Watson, Molly Wright, Christopher Ryan, Tamara Bartram, Joshua Baulch, Katie Harrison, Riley Taskarin, Jessica Murphy, Ryan Newman and Talise Rudd.
From these prefects our school captains and vice captains will be determined by another vote. I congratulate all candidates for their interest and commitment to our school.
