The deadline for proxy voting is 10.30am on Tuesday
SunRice chairman Laurie Arthur said after that time the only way for shareholders to cast a vote will be to attend the company’s annual general meeting and B class meeting in Jerilderie on Thursday, starting 10:30am.
SunRice has put forward the ASX proposal to improve access to external capital to support the company’s 2022 growth strategy, which is designed to improve paddy prices for Riverina growers and shareholder returns for investors.

If approved, the ASX proposal will remove the current B class share ownership restrictions and allow anyone to invest in SunRice up to a new maximum 10 per cent shareholding cap.
“The SunRice board unanimously recommends the ASX Proposal to A and B class shareholders and each director intends to vote their shares in favour,” Mr Arthur said.
“However, this next step is ultimately a decision for you, our shareholders.
“While it is not compulsory to vote, your directors and I encourage you to do so given the significance of the outcome to SunRice’s future and your own.”
Given proxy forms will no longer reach the Share Registry in Sydney by post before the deadline, shareholders can either:
- Vote online. Step-by-step instructions on how to do this can be found at the “vote now” page of www.sunrice.com.au/asx or
- Contact Lena Henman on (02) 6953 0404 or SunRice chairman Laurie Arthur on 0428 500 232 to have a SunRice representative collect their proxy form securely.
Those shareholders wishing to attend the meetings and vote in person this week are asked to bring their SRN/HIN and identification and register with Link Market Services at the Civic Hall in Jerilderie before the AGM starts at 10.30am. Registration desks will open from 9.30am.
