Max recently competed at the World Triathlon Championships on the Gold Coast where he was up against some tough competition from other countries.
His event involved a five kilometre run, 750 metre swim and 20 kilometre ride.
Max managed to complete all of that, but said he would have like to have done a bit better.
“I was a bit disappointed, especially with my run,” the budding athlete said.

“I’ve been having a lot of problems with my foot and it really flared up during the run.
“It was pretty tough. Overall I was happy with the ride and the swim though.”
It was the first time Max has competed at the world event and he acknowledged even being able to finish the challenging course was an achievement in itself.
“It was definitely a really good experience,” he said.
“I was able to meet a lot of people. It’s pretty cool being able to represent your country as well.”
Max has said he will likely stay away from running for a couple of weeks, but will be competing at a triathlon in Yarrawonga towards the end of October.
The next big event on his radar that is also coming up is the Australian national championships.
