Residents have been asked to keep an eye out for a black-coloured Rav 4, which is alleged to have been involved in the theft, which occurred between 7am and 7.10am on Wednesday.
Police allege two male offenders broke into a property at Cudgel on Irrigation Way where they entered through a front door of a closed, but unlocked shed, stealing tools to the tune of around $5000.
The property owner saw a black coloured Toyota Rav 4 at one of his sheds, the vehicle was bearing stolen NSW plates CI12XJ.
On seeing the owner, an occupant of the vehicle sounded the Rav 4’s horn and up to three people wearing dark clothing covering their mouths ran from the shed and into waiting car.
The victim parked in front of the Rav 4 in attempt to block it in and the offenders drove into the owner’s vehicle pushing it back. The males fled the area.
The vehicle was last sighted turning right off Irrigation Way towards Leeton.
Police are also investigating possible links to other offences in the Leeton area.
Anyone with information should contact police.
